EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, School of Engineering, to assume a position as a dynamic, visionary leader of the Office of Engineering Outreach Programs (OEOP).  Will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the execution of OEOP’s mission and prominently participate in and shape the national dialog on access for students who are underrepresented and under-served in STEM fields; assume primary responsibility for securing and managing an operational budget of $2.5M from over 100 key funders and 500+ contributors; and oversee the implementation and evaluation of OEOP programs, engage its advisory board, direct communications strategies, and determine both the short- and long-term strategic goals and direction of the office.

The mission of the OEOP is to diversify the science and engineering community by serving students from underrepresented and under-served backgrounds and empowering these students to develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue careers in technical field.


Sloan School of Management - 24MAR16

Associate Director, MBA Career Education

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MBA CAREER EDUCATION AND ADVISING, Sloan School of Management, to provide career planning assistance/education for approximately 800 MBA and LGO (Leaders for Global Operations) students. Will advise within a generalist model of delivering services; evaluate and review current offerings; create and deliver career seminars for large and small groups; support students' career planning activities; build relationships with employers hiring MBAs; organize events; advise students on a broad range of career paths; contribute to developing and delivering a comprehensive, timely, and relevant career education process; partner on the delivery of career seminars and programming and lead topical seminars; identify and solicit support from alumni and faculty to support the career education process for resourceful and motivated students; provide one-on-one advice to students on goal setting, job search strategy, and personal marketing tools; partner with several job function/industry student clubs and with firms to offer career development programs; and foster positive relations with MBA employers.

Associate Director, Master of Finance Program

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MASTER OF FINANCE PROGRAM, Sloan School of Management-Career Development Office, to collaborate on developing/delivering a comprehensive, timely, and relevant career education process for approximately 120 MFin students. Will help with the delivery of career seminars/programming and lead topical seminars; serve as a career cohort advisor for sixty-plus students on goal setting, resume/cover letter preparation, job search strategy, financial services industry overviews, interview preparation, salary negotiation, etc.; identify and solicit alumni, recruiters, faculty, and outside vendors to support the career education process; establish and maintain relationships with companies seeking to hire MFin candidates for internships, externships, and full-time opportunities; foster positive relations with employers, enhancing awareness of MFin career opportunities and partnering with firms to offer career development programs; create a comprehensive industry-specific calendar of events; actively contribute to relevant student clubs; and work closely with the Program Office and Admissions to ensure admissions, career, and program offerings are aligned, including staffing a study tour, reading admissions files, and interviewing candidates.
